Sporting the team colours of black and leopard print, spectators need only look at the saucy 50s diner-inspired dresses to know that the Bloody Marys are a team of feisty skaters who aren’t afraid to get their claws out on the track.

The travel team was originally formed in early 2009 and has enjoyed a number of victories during this time. One particular highlight dates back to May 2009, when the Bloody Marys claimed victory over the VRDL team, ‘New Breed’. After skating a tight game that led the teams to a draw, the Bloody Marys managed to secure their win by ONE point when the game went into overtime.

In October 2010, the ladies played a spectacular game against the NBR ‘Brawlstars’, which was held at the Brisbane Convention Centre to sell-out crowds. Unfortunately, the Brawlstars walked away as winners, but this small loss only put fire in the belly for the Bloody Marys and when the teams go head-to-head this September, the Brawlstars are going to know extacly what hit them!

The Bloody Marys have a busy year of interleague bouts ahead of them, so be sure to mark the dates in your calendar to see them challenge their opponents!
